Much Ado About Nothing
by William Shakespeare
May 28 – June 14, 1997
St. Adian’s Memorial Hall
70 Silverbirch Ave.
The City is Chicago. The Year is 1925. The Music is Jazz.
Shakespeare’s Much Ado is a rolling frolic between the “guys” and the “gals.” At the centre is the romantic pair of Claudio and Hero, but under that lies the “merry war” of Bennie and Bea and sexual innuendo everywhere. Throw in a few villains and the Keystone Cops and you have an easy Shakespearean transformation to Chicago in the 1920s.
Come join us for the fun and music which is all Much Ado ’bout Nothin’.
